Ignacy Siarkowski comes from Poland. He is a soloist, chamber and orchestra clarinetist. He took his first music lessons playing the violin but after two years he changed to clarinet. He graduated from the Stanisław Moniuszko Music School in Katowice and continued his education at the Karol Szymanowski Secondary Music School in Katowice in a class of Stanisław Maliszewski. In 2016 he started his studies at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław studying with Jan Jakub Bokun.
Ignacy is an active musician. As a soloist he appeared with the Archetti Chamber Orchestra and the Szymanowski Youth Orchestra. With this ensemble he recorded his first CD giving a world premiere of the piece for two clarinets „Attimo” composed by Marek Grucka. Ignacy performed across Europe and in the most renowned concert halls in Poland such as the National Forum of Music in Wrocław, National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, S1 Studio in Warsaw, Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre of Music in Lusławice, National Opera in Warsaw and more. He cooperated with artists as among others Michał Micker, Wojciech Michniewski, Szymon Bywalec, Jan Jakub Bokun, Archetti Chamber Orchestra and Silesian Philharmonic. Ignacy appeared at the La Folle Journée Festival in Warsaw, Autumn Music Festival „Alkagran” and in 2018 he was selected to take part in the 10th LEO Festival in Wrocław which aim is to promote young emerging musicians.
Ignacy Siarkowski has already been recognized at competitions as a solo player and a chamber musician. He is a former prize winner at the competitions in Szczecin, Żywiec, Piotrków Trybunalski, Wrocław, Warsaw and more. In 2016 he took part in the artistic olympiad for the most outstanding students making it to semi-final.
He took part in masterclasses guided by Alessandro Carbonare, Vincent Alberola, Giamarco Cassani, Andreas Sunden, Igor Frantisak, Karel Dohnal, Jorge Montilli, Jean Marc Fessard and many more. He was a student of the prestigious project „Europa u bram” which helped him to gain experience, work with masters of the clarinet and cooperate with amazing artists.
