Paulina Szafaryn

Soprano, born on 20th April 1992 in Sochaczew. She started her musical education at the age of six in the piano class of Marta Pacholska-Panasiuk at the Fryderyk Chopin School of Music of the 1st and 2nd degree in Sochaczew. In 2011 she graduated the 2nd degree of the music school in the flute class of Paweł Leszczyński. In the same year she enrolled in vocal studies in the singing class of Prof. Mikołaj Moroz at the Vocal and Acting Department of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. During her studies she has received the Rector's scholarship for the best students four times and in 2016 she obtained the title of Master of Arts. While studying at the University of Music, the artist perfected her skills during many master classes lead, among others, by Ewa Iżykowska-Lipinska (Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw), Anthony di Giantomasso (Heute école de musique Geneve - Neuchătel), Marcin Habela (Heute école de musique Geneve - Neuchătel) and Gabriela Benačkova. Currently, she continues her studies at UMFC in Warsaw on a posgraduate artistic trainig programme in the singing class of Prof. Ewa Iżykowska-Lipińska. The artist made her debut on the stage of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw on 17th February 2013 with parts of Dolcina, Ist Conversa and Ist Cercatrice in the production of the opera Suor Angelica directed by Przemysław Klonowski. The spectacle was a great success and has been performed many times at opera festivals like XX Bydgoski Festiwal Operowy at the Nova Opera in Bydgoszcz and at the first edition of the Scena Młodych of the Warszawska Opera Kameralna. While studying, the singer took part in numerous concert projects, for example: In Chopin's Lounge, Between Pushkin and Tchaikovsky, Opera - operetta and many others. In 2014 she established cooperation with the Camerata Mazovia chamber orchestra, with which she had the pleasure of performing many times during the last few years. The first big part of the vocalist was Tatiana from Piotr Tchaikovsky's opera Eugeniusz Oniegin. Spectacle directed by Prof. Ryszard Cieśla was staged on 11th March 2016 at the Świętokrzyska Philharmonic in Kielce. The singer's talent was noticed by the director. This resulted in an invitation to the closing concert of the music season 2015/2016 of the Philharmonic. The soprano could be seen again on the stage of the Świętokrzyska Philharmonic, when she played the role of Ludmila from opera by Smetana entitled "Prodana Nevesta" in 2018. In the summer of 2018 Paulina took part in a programme for young talents "Opera Mladych" organized by Jakub Pustina and Gabriela Benaćkowa during which she worked on the part of Micaela from the opera "Carmen" by Georges Bizet. The course ended with a concert performance of the entire opera at Vilemov Castle in Vilemov(Czech Republic). Recently, the singer has established cooperation with the Zielona Góra Philharmonic and the Polish Community in Bilefeld (Germany), here she will perform soon.
