Joanna Nawrot, lyric soprano, was born in Poland and completed her Master's Degree at the Faculty of Polish Philology at the Pedagogical University of Krakow. Also she studied at the Academy of Music in Krakow in the solo singing class of Prof. Monika Swarowska-Walawska. Currently she is a student of the Master studies at the S. Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk in the solo singing class of Prof. Daniel Kotliński.
From 2018, she was a soloist cooperating with the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk.
She has participated in the International Festival of Classical Music in Belarus in the years 2016, 2017 and 2018. She performs in Poland and abroad with the classical opera /operetta repertoire and the repertoire of Anna German’s songs. She cooperates with many soloists, conductors and artists from Poland and abroad. She won the 2016 “The person of the year”award in the Debut category organized by the daily Echo Dnia And also received a distinction in the category of Culture. In 2018 she was nominated for the “Personality of the year” in the category of Culture. She is a winner of the first award of the International Song Festival Anna German 2017.
She has completed masterclasses in bel canto with outstanding Polish opera singers, as well as visual movement masterclasses(P. Kusiewicz, Monika Fedyk-Klimaszewska, R. Owsińska, P. Beczała, M. Kwiecień, S. Rot, B. Makal, J. Szymański). Her Repertoire includes opera and operetta arias and sacred music. She performs arias and songs from the operas of Puccini, Verdi, Donizetti, Offenbach, Arditti, Mozart, Vivaldi, Bellini, Lehar,Bach, Moniuszko, Chopin, Niewiadomski, Karłowicz, Nowowiejski, Maklakiewicz, Różycki, Nawrocki, Paderewski, Kilar, and Dębski.
In addition to her artistic activity, she is involved in charitable and didactic activities.
