Sabrina Stachel

Sabrina graduated the Karol Lipiński General Music School in Lublin in Andrzej Wojtaszek's violin class in 2012. Presently she is a student at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk in a symphony and opera conducting class of Kai Bumann's. She is also a graduate of theory of music class. She took part in conducting classes with prof. Rafał Jacek Delekta and prof. Jacek Kasprzyk in Cracow in 2014 and 2015 working with the Beethoven's Academy orchestra. In 2016 she worked with the maestro George Tchitchinadze, dr Jose Maria Florencio and prof. Jerzy Salwarowski during conducting courses organized at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. There she also worked with the Sinfonietta Pomerania orchestra in March 2018 during contemporary music courses conducted by Szymon Bywalec.

In 2014 she took part in a New Year's Eve concert organized by the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. That year she was a participant of the Nationwide NEOFONIA III Symposium in Poznań. In 2016 she prepared a stage version of Igor Strawiński's ballet The Story of a Soldier. In November of that year, she conducted the concert Diplomats on Eastern Borderlands on the Manor Brzozówka. In 2017, she took part in the II Nationwide Competition of conducting students in Wrocław. Then she also conducted a concert of jazz and movie music in Tomice, where she performed three pianos and jazz orchestra presenting Artur Jurek's compositions. Afterwards, she conducted the I.J. Paderewski Orchestra with a symphony program with soloists Gabriela Żmigrodzka and Mikołaj Sikała.

Sabrina is a co-founder of the I.J. Paderewski Orchestra in Warsaw. To date, she has cooperated with many others, including the Beethoven's Academy orchestra, the Elbląg's Chamber Orchestra, the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonietta Pomerania, the Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, the Chamber Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Wrocław, and as of late with the Dot-Arte Foundation Orchestra.

She teaches the theory of music at the Music School in Lębork. As a theorist she is interested in instrumental compositions of the XX and XXI century. As early as in 2012 Sabrina was a laureate of the XXXVI Nationwide Artistic Olympics in the category of the history of music. On the Meakultura portal her publication Jazz elements in Igor Strawiński's compositions. Ragtime from „L'Historie du Soldat", Ragtime for 11 instruments was posted. Presently Sabrina is working on symphonic compositions of Henryk Mikołaj Górecki. She is working on the IV Symphony - Tansman Episodes op. 85.

Since 2013 she has sung in the Chamber Choir 441Hz , which specialty is performing contemporary music. They are conducted by Anna Wilczewska. In December 2014 the Modern Choral Masterpieces album with the choir's participation was released, and in 2017 the second one, The Song of the North which presented folk music from Scandinavian countries in a more contemporary edition. The choir participates in many festivals and competitions winning many prizes. In cooperation with the Dramatic Theatre in Białystok, a spectacle Antyhona was created and directed by Agnieszka Korytkowska- Mazur with Michał Jacaszek's music. In 2016 the choir started cooperating with the German compositor Sven Helbig, performing the piece I Eat The Sun, I Drink The Rain with a choir and electro music. The Choir 441Hz has been a regular guest on many musical events, such as the Contemporary Music Festival New Waves, where they have appeared annually since 2015, the Gdańsk Choir Spring (appearing annualy since 2016) or the Narracje 6 festival in 2014.

Another choir which Sabrina is a member of is Goldberg Vocal Ensemble, performing old music while being conducted by Andrzej Szadejko. They have recorded four albums from the Music Legacy of Gdańsk City series - Kantaty Wielkanocne in 2013, Kantaty na Wniebowstąpienie i Święto Zesłania Ducha Świętego in 2015, Musica Baltica 1 – Baroque Cantatas from Gdańsk in 2016 and most recently Musica Baltica 2 in 2018.

Sabrina has been the second violinist in the Golden Gate String Quartet since 2015.
