Hasmik Sahakyan - Soprano

Absolvent of master’s program under prof. Ewa Iżykowska Lipińska on The Frederic’s Chopin University of Music, graduate of vocal and acting bachelor’s program under dr. Marek Rzepka on The Music Academy in Cracow.

Born in Yerewan, in 1992, lives in Poland since 2000. In 2011 she graduated from Artur Malawski’s 2nd degree Music School in Przemyśl, also on a vocal faculty under Agnieszka Kołodziejczuk. She studied musical education on the Music Institute in Rzeszów.

Winner of the 2th prize in the competition “”Viva Calisia” and special prize. Finalist of the 17th International Ada Sari Competition in Nowy Sacz. She won 1th Prize in “ARS ET GLORIA” Sacral Vocal Competition in Katowice.

Grand Prix in 3rd National Competition in Drezdenek. 2nd place in International Competition “Złote Głosy” in Warsaw. She was awarded on the 15th competition “W Kręgu Muzyki Słowiańskiej” in Katowice. She also got to the finals in the 3rd Jan Kiepura’s Competition in Krynica Zdrój.

Participant of the 1th Prince Władysław Lubomirski Festival in Warsaw. She performs the role of Suzanna (The Marriage of Figaro), Fiordiligi (Cosi Fan tutte), Pamina (The Magic Flute) W.A. Mozart in the play "Mozart Innamorato" - staged fragments of operas as part of the 11th Bosa Antica Festival in Sardinia. Participant of the 55th Moniuszko Festival in Kudowa Zdrój in the premiere of "Song of Stanisław Moniuszko to poems, among others Goethe, Moore, de Beranger in the original language version and Polish poets in translations into German, French and Russian. " The performer of the role of "SHE" in the

performance, Modern Opera "Psalm". She played the role of Fiordiligi in the opera "Cosi Fan tutte" by W.A. Mozart in the Chamber Opera in Warsaw.

She was working with the orchestra of Podkarpacie Philharmony. She took part in the music festival in Łańcut and “Świat Mistrza Beksińskiego” – Requiem by A. Schnittke. In 2014 she debuted as Łucja on the stage of Opera Kameralna in Warsaw in “Zamek w Czorsztynie” by Karol Kurpiński.

Soprano of a very dark timbre and uncommon high notes. It predisposes her to perform in works of composers like: G. Verdi, G. Puccini, V. Bellini, S.

Moniuszko or G. Bizet. Another of her assets is the plasticity of her voice, which allows her to perform in operas ranging from the baroque period to modernity.
