Katarzyna Olszewska

Graduated with Master of Arts and Postgraduate Studies from the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the violin class of prof. Sławomir Tomasik and prof. Jakub Jakowicz. She participated in Masterclasses with: prof. Krzysztof Jakowicz, prof. Jan Stanienda, prof. Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, prof. Bartłomiej Nizioł, prof. Piotr Tarcholik, prof. Sergei Kravchenko, prof. Viktor Pikayzen, prof. Dima Tkachenko, prof. Andrej Bielow, prof. Massimo Quarta, prof. Alexis Galeprine, Alexey Igudesman and others.

She was awarded a sholarship from the Universitat fur Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien (Austria) during ISA'15 under the guidance of prof. Dora Schwarzberg, the Aurora Music 2014 (Sweden) in the violin class of prof. Midori Goto and Sara Chang, the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, IAM in Warsaw, President of the city Bydgoszcz and AUKSO Young Philharmonic.

Katarzyna is the first prize winner of the international competitions for young musicians in Madrid, Stockholm, Athens, Vienna, Padova and New York.

As a soloist and chamber musician she performed at many international festivals: XV Witold Lutosławski Festival „Chain” in Warsaw, Gorczycki Festival, Warsaw Autumn, Russian Character Festival in Moscow, ISA Festival, Aurora Music Stars Festival and others She gave concerts in Russia, USA (Carnegie Hall, Weill Hall), Spain, Italy, France, Sweden, Austria (Musikverein, Glaserner Saal), Ukraine and Poland.
